Enrollment BCA is the largest non-public school in Alamance County with 670 students. Students attend our school from Guilford, Caswell, Orange, Randolph, Rockingham, and Alamance Counties.
Highlights BCA has received the Exemplary School Program Award from the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) due to our work in critical thinking with Thinking Maps. We were one of thirty-eight (38) schools nationwide to receive such an award. We have also earned dual accreditation with ACSI and SACS. There are only a handful of schools in the state with dual accreditation such as ours. In 2002 BCA launched Accelerated Reader, continued the implementation of Thinking Maps in K-12, and trained our faculty in Write From the Beginning and Write for the Future for school wide use. We have broadened our abilities to serve special needs students through the Resource Services Program and currently have two Resource teachers. Our curriculum is under continuous review as each subject becomes the focus of study during a five year cycle.
Teacher Certification Elementary, Middle School, and High School teachers hold either state certification with the NC Dept of Public Instruction and/or The Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), or are in the process of obtaining one of these certifications.
