Putting God's Word Into Action
The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did it for me.'    Matthew 25:40

Our Student Outreach

"Christ has no body on earth but yours, no hands but yours, no feet but yours. Yours are the eyes through which Christ's compassion for the world is to look out; yours are the feet with which He is to go about doing good; and yours are the hands with which He is to bless us now."

~Saint Teresa of Avila

Take a look at the amazing ways our students have been the hands and feet of Christ in our surrounding community:
  • Mrs. Carroll and Mrs. Atkins' third grade classes, along with our own BETA club packed food at Lamb's Chapel for Feed the Hungry.
  • BCA student ministries raised over $1,150.00 for Alex Ingle
  • Ms. Moore's second grade delivered cards made out of homemade paper along with homemade cookies to Hawfields' Nursing Home.
  • Mrs. Limon's second grade sent cards and notes of encouragement to a soldier who was badly wounded in Iraq and delivered homemade cookies to thank our local firemen and policemen.
  • Mrs. Atkins' third grade class provided $1,000.00 for the Food Pack-a-thon that New Directions holds every year. Many students donated their birthday money!
  • BCA student ministries donated over $1,000.00 to build wells in Cambodia.
  • Mrs. Hamlett's fifth grade participated in Pi for Pie day and donated all proceeds to Loaves and Fishes food ministry.
  • Middle school raise $1,200.00 for the Feed the Hungry organization.
  • Our entire school joined together and collected over 2 1/2 truckloads full of food to benefit the Caring Kitchen!
  • Elementary grades collected note cards, stamps and tissues to benefit ACCSA - Alamance County Community Services Agency, Inc.
  • BCA students of all ages set up lemonade stands to raise money for Alex Ingle and raised over $5,000.00!
  • 21 students in BCA student ministries served as tutors for needy children in the community and made four trips to institutional settings to minister to residents.
  • BCA fifth grade classes held a "baby bottle boomerang" to help Piedmont Rescue Mission and "Pi for Pie Day" with all proceeds donated to Loaves and Fishes.
Ministry and outreach have always been an integral part of life here at BCA. It is such a blessing to be a part of a school where serving others is valued so highly. We are very proud of our students and all of the outreach they have completed this past school year (2010-11). We cannot wait to see what they accomplish next year!
